The best story
isn't the longest.

I'm Cy — a marketer, storyteller, and lifelong sports fan based in Utah. I write campaigns, landing pages, press copy, and game recaps that earn attention by getting to the point.

01 — About

A storyteller who happens to run campaigns.

I'm finishing a B.S. in Marketing at Utah Valley University (August 2026) while working as a Marketing Associate at Opus EHR — owning campaigns end-to-end, reporting straight to the CMO and CEO, and managing partner relationships across the brand.

Before Opus, I spent three years at a plumbing supply company translating dense technical knowledge into copy that landed for both first-time buyers and lifelong tradespeople. Earlier, I covered the Utah Jazz, Utah Utes, and Las Vegas Raiders as a staff writer for StadiumSportzz.

I care about the words that sit between a product and a person. Great storytelling doesn't explain — it invites. My job is to write the invitation, keep it honest, and make sure it lands with whoever is on the other side.

05 — Kind words

What others have said.

A couple of notes from people I've worked alongside — collected from past projects and internships.

Cy Nelson is a team player. He came to work with our team at RevRoad and was dedicated to his projects and those he worked with. Cy showed up each day ready to dive in and work with the marketing team as we worked to strengthen our portfolio companies. Cy showed commitment, dedication, and willingness to learn new things and take on new tasks. He worked well with others and took initiative when working on his own. We truly were lucky to have had Cy Nelson work alongside us.

Amy Caldwell

Co-Founder / CIO, RevRoad

Cy came to me with no skills in this area but when given a challenge he worked to learn the new skill and improved each time he performed it. He also was willing to do whatever was required of him. This was a positive experience and I felt like my time as an owner was never wasted during this internship.
